Camp IW2H is a non-profit summer camp program dedicated to Academics, Activities, and Adventure!
It is designed for ages 4 to 11 and is a low-cost, affordable program that is different from other summer programs. We dedicate the proceeds to other community outreach projects!
For students ages 12-15, we offer a free internship as a "Junior Camp Counselor" for those that are chosen, after completing the Junior Camp Counselor Registration Form & a required interview with a camp leader. Please click here for an online version of registration form, if doc will not open for you.
FAQ's about the Camp:
How do I register?
If you would like your child to be considered as a participant in this program, please complete the registration form. If the doc will not open for you, click here for an online application form.
To apply for reduced
tuition and/or a scholarship, you must include a tuition assistance formin addition to the regular registration form. If the doc will not open, you may click here for the online version. Once you have filled out
the registration form, we use use the information provided to determine
your tuition. There are a limited number of scholarships for those who
apply, which are given out on a first come, first serve basis.
Do NOT send in a
registration fee or deposit until we have confirmed we received all your
paperwork; we will let you know if we have the space, and what your tuition will be (if applying for financial assistance).
Here are the steps to register for Camp IW2H: #1:
Email or mail a registration form in (and a tuition assistance form, if

will hold it until we receive the deposit, and registration fee, if you
have applied during our regular or late enrollment period. (If you
applied for tuition assistance, it lets you know how much your tuition
will be, or if you qualified for one of our limited scholarships.) #3:
Mail your deposit in (and proof of income, if you applied for tuition
assistance, and would like to attend for the tuition our staff proposed) #4: Attend the orientation on June 11th. (we will send a detailed email at a later time, upon completion of registration) #5: Start camp June 13th, 8am.

What is the mission of "I Want To Help?" (IW2H)
As a
non-profit organization with a mission to help others, we will focus
several subjects on topics about how to help the environment and how to
help others. With each field trip, we will also incorporate a lesson plan that accompanies it.
An example of this type of service learning would be:
a trip to the park will include information about the trees, flowers,
and birds they will be seeing as well as information about the growing
cycle. In the nature of humanitarianism, It will also
include a quick litter pick up and discussion about the importance of
keeping the park (and the world) beautiful.
Do they have to stay everyday, Monday-Friday, from 8am-6pm?
No. It is pick up and drop off, as needed. While students are encouraged to participate from 8-3, when our academic school setting is in place, you may choose to pick up early, drop off late, or have students miss days. Please now that you are responsible for paying the tuition at the beginning of the session, regardless of how many dates your child misses, or the timeframe that you choose to have them participate in.
Where is it located? Are there other locations?
There is only one location, at 4500 Manchaca Blvd, in Joslin Elementary. (near intersection of Ben White/Menchaca)
When are payments due? How long are the sessions? The deposit & registration fee are due as soon as you receive our confirmation email (details in FAQ "Steps to Register"). The payment for Session 1 (6/13-7/1) is due 6/1, the payment for Session 2(7/2-7/22) is due 6/27, the payment for Session 3(7/23-8/12) is due 7/18.
How much is each session? If you are NOT applying for reduced tuition and/or scholarships, it is $450/session ($150/wk) if your child will be attending all 3 sessions. For less than 3 sessions, the price is $550/session. Our reduced tuition is typically on a scale of $250-$400, depending on your household size, income, and other extenuating circumstances. We may reduce tuition further or offer a full scholarship on a case-by-case basis.
